Three of the Lothians’ brightest start-up companies were among a seven-strong Scottish group invited to one of the world's foremost investor events, the EntrepreneurCountry Global Forum, in London earlier this week.
On the first occasion that Scotland has had a presence at the event, the Scottish Enterprise delegation exhibited its products and services to some of the world’s most important investors.
Spanning sectors from bio-tech to human resources, the delegation gave a strong flavour of the talent in Scotland and reasserted the country’s status as a good place to start and grow a company.
The three Lothians outfits at the event were VistaBee, a video and digital creation company, Edinburgh biotech company Celtic Renewables and Design LED, which produces unique LED light tiles from its base in Livingston, West Lothian.
Steve Reilly, chief executive of VistaBee, which is now the UK’s largest digital content creation platform, said: “Over the last four years we have seen amazing growth at VistaBee, we’ve built out our platform and made thousands of real estate and corporate videos around the world.
“This is the year, after investing heavily in our tech platform, we really put our pedal to the metal and go for it, and the EntrepreneurCountry Global Forum gives us a great opportunity to make some engaging connection and tell folks what we’re up to”Read More
